Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–1:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (217) 352-7624. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, manzellasitalianrestaurant.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 552 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Champaign and suggests consistent service.

Champaign is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Champaign follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I believe for pasta and such a small salad on a watery plate is VERY over priced!! I ask for cheese on my salad but she never mentioned we charge extra. There was not much taste of the meat sauce and very little sauce. The smaller spaghetti isn't as good as the regular spaghetti. We also had an appetizer of cheese sticks. The mozzarella cheese was good and they were hot. We ask that our food come out after our salads. The waitress come to our table and said I'm sorry but your food is ready but I'll just have them remake it. We were not finished with appetizer or our salads. Our main course was cold when brought to us. I'm sure it was not remade. We paid over $70 with our tip. I also, went to the restroom. It was not clean and the vent had dust and filth built up. We have been coming here for years and it has really gotten worse. The hours are not convenient and very minimal. The owner is not always the friendliest and when she was sitting us she was taking to an employee by the counter the entire time and continued as we were sitting at our table very loud. If you are a weekly regular or she knows you the owner is very nice to those people. We probably won't be go

Manzella's is a really cute Italian spot; perfect for date night or to celebrate! My group ordered the pesto penne, a cheese lasagna, and the "bianca pizza." The pastas came with a side of soup or salad and bread if some sort. Plan to spend about $25 per entree. I got the bianca pizza, it had spinach, garlic, and artichoke on a neapolitan pizza base. The flavors well balanced and I had enough for breakfast the next day. I had a bite of my friends' entrees (penne pesto and cheese lasagna), I thought it tasted fine, not life-changing, but also not bad. I would come here again if someone else was paying for it (the ambience was 10/10).

I had a great first experience at this cozy Italian spot tonight! My partner and I started with an order of cheese sticks as an appetizerβ€”crispy and perfectly cheesy. For the main course, we ordered both the lasagna and the tortellini with meat, and they did not disappoint. Each entrΓ©e came with garlic bread and the choice of soup or salad, which was a nice touch. The portions were very generousβ€”definitely come hungry! The atmosphere gave classic mom-and-pop vibes, super welcoming and homey. It felt like a place that’s been loved by the community for years. Prices were really reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. This place absolutely deserves to be considered a Champaign staple. I’ll definitely be back!

When I walk into this restaurant, the smells in the atmosphere remind me of stepping back into the real Italian family restaurants. The one where there’s always a family table in the background, the one where there’s always a family member hanging out if not more. The hospitality makes you feel like you’re stepping back. Family. The food is very traditional very good. We had pizza, Soup and tortellini Alfredo. The prices are reasonable, but most of all I really enjoyed being here and feeling like I was going to visit my own family.

I've lived here for seven years and deeply regretting that I haven't been here until tonight. This is going to be our pizza/go to place for dinner out. The vibe/atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant, great for a date or chill feeling after a hectic schedule. The staff were very friendly and the service was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing. The pizza was, in my opinion, the best in the area, and I've eaten at pretty much every other pizza place around. We got a half hamburger pepperoni, and half pineapple Canadian bacon (because my partner is a heathen and doesn't mind committing the worst pizza sin). Admittedly, I did try a piece of that pineapple and Canadian bacon and I actually liked it, which is a first. There hasn't been a single other place I've ever liked that from. The marinara they use for the toasted ravioli is extremely good, speaking of, meat toasted ravioli is hard to come by here. Having grown up in St Louis area, that's a staple for any Italian place and theirs is pretty good. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. I am extremely happy that we finally gave this place a try.
